Spectral fluorescence measurement of algae
The Aquacolor Algae Sensor is a flow-through sensor that measures the fluorescence of chlorophyll-a (green algae) and phycocyanin (blue-green algae), using excitation at 461 nm and 590 nm respectively. It outputs fully raw spectral data across 299 channels from 340–850 nm.
Matrix correction via transmission channels
To correct for turbidity and humic substances, the sensor also performs transmission measurements at 400, 461, 520, and 640 nm. This ensures reliable fluorescence correction in complex water matrices.
Standalone or integrated with the EcoSniffer
The sensor functions as a standalone measurement system but is also fully compatible with the EcoSniffer platform. This makes it easy to deploy in existing monitoring setups or research projects.
Raw spectral data for research and modeling
Like the EcoSniffer and Nitrate Sensor, the Algae Sensor provides only raw data. This makes it ideal for scientific applications that require full spectral insight and data transparency.
